Role Description
We are looking for a skilled and creative Instagram Reels Video recorder as well as an Editor to join our team. You will be responsible for creating engaging and visually appealing short-form videos for our brand as well as our client's social presence. If you have a passion for video editing, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to tell stories through captivating visuals, we would love to have you on board.
Responsibilities:
• Have a creative eye to record videos for Fb/IG reels and YT shorts.
• Edit short-form videos for Instagram Reels/YouTube shorts, adhering to the brand's style and guidelines.
• Use video editing software to trim, arrange, and enhance footage for maximum impact.
• Apply creative transitions, effects, and animations to enhance the visual appeal of the videos.
• Optimize video content for social media format, ensuring the videos are visually appealing and engaging.
• Content Curation: Select relevant video clips, images, and audio to create compelling and cohesive videos
• Incorporate on-trend and popular content elements to increase engagement and reach.
• Collaborate with the content team to brainstorm and generate fresh ideas for Reels content.
Storytelling and Narration:
• Understand the brand's messaging and storytelling objectives to create videos that effectively communicate the desired message.
• Utilize video sequencing, pacing, and audio to create a cohesive narrative and capture viewers' attention.
• Incorporate engaging captions, subtitles, or text overlays to enhance the storytelling experience.
• Visual and Audio Enhancement:
• Enhance video quality by adjusting brightness, contrast, saturation, and other visual parameters.
• Sync appropriate background music, sound effects, or voiceovers to enhance the video's impact.
• Maintain a consistent visual and audio style across all videos while aligning with the brand's identity.
Quality Control and Optimization:
• Review and proofread videos for errors, ensuring accurate captions, smooth transitions, and proper audio synchronization.
• Optimize video files for efficient storage and upload while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, new editing techniques, and Instagram Reels features.
Qualifications:
• Experience in video editing, specifically for Instagram Reels or similar short-form video platforms.
• A portfolio showcasing your editing skills, creativity, and ability to craft engaging video content.
• A keen eye for detail, composition, and visual storytelling.
• Familiarity with Instagram's platform and Reels format, including technical requirements and best practices.
• Strong understanding of video optimization techniques, including file compression, aspect ratios, and resolution.
• Knowledge of current trends in social media, content creation, and popular culture.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Conceptualize and brainstorm ideas for Reels that align with the brand's goals and target audience.
• Collaborate with the content team to develop storyboards and scripts for Reel content.
• Edit and assemble raw footage into polished, high-quality videos using editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, VN, Capcut or any other video editing software..
• Optimize videos for mobile viewing and social media platforms, considering factors such as aspect ratio, duration, and file size.
• Collaborate with the social media team to schedule and publish Reel content according to the content calendar.
