Introduction:
Within the Investment Bank, the Reference Data team delivers a global service of golden source Reference Data to users of key investment banking business applications covering all Financial Markets. The user functions include managing and distributing the Instrument/Product Static Data, Intra-day & End-Of-Day Pricing, Historical Time-Series Pricing, and Client & Account information.
The primary purpose of the role is to ensure the continued availability, effectiveness, and accuracy of production systems, by managing the delivery of second and third level support services across the suite of key business-critical applications.
What will you be doing?
Main duties and responsibilities
• Provide top quality application support across 20 applications, supporting 100s of users and downstream consumers, in batch, real-time, and intra-day operation. This includes partnership with the support teams based in the US, UK, India and Mexico.
• Develop technical knowledge of the applications and the businesses they support to provide an effective and efficient service to the business, focusing on proactive incident prevention and resolution.
• Build and maintain the next generation monitoring tools for Reference Data systems focusing on intelligent alerting with a business context.
• Deliver automation solutions to eliminate recurring manual activities from the environment.
• Prepare for and oversee high profile market events (e.g. Options Expiry, Russell Rebalance, Disaster Recovery Testing), and large-scale application upgrades and infrastructure migrations.
• Implement continuous service improvements to exceed business expectations.
• Collaborate with team members to analyse the stability requirements for systems migrating to a new cloud-based environment (AWS Training will be provided).
