Citi’s Risk Management organization oversees Citi’s risk governance framework and risk appetite, ensures all risks generated by the firm’s businesses are measured, reviewed, and monitored on an ongoing basis.
We’re currently looking for a high caliber professional to join our team as Assistant Vice President, Credit Portfolio - Hybrid. (Internal Job Title: Senior Vice President - C12) based in Mumbai - India. In this role, you’re expected to:
Financial Market Infrastructure Risk Management (FIRM) Credit Portfolio Senior Analyst is responsible for the evaluation, management, and approval of memberships and credit reviews. The candidate will also have to interface from a risk management perspective with external bodies including the Financial Market Infrastructures (FMIs), regulators, central banks, and industry bodies.
• Conduct new FMI Memberships reviews and Material Changes in existing FMIs.
• Timely completion of Membership Risk Rating (MRR) and Obligor Risk Rating (ORR), and preparing loss estimates as well as ensuring ongoing reviews on a periodic basis.
• Responsible for evaluation and challenging 1LOD on annual credit reviews as FMI industry specialist
• Interact with FMIs on aspects such as model changes relating to margin methodology and guarantee fund methodology and rule book changes in general.
• Participate as a reviewer in the new deal review process and NAC (New Approval Committee) when FMI risks are involved with focus on potential risks and risk mitigation.
• Ensure timely communication of FMI Risk policy requirements across Asia Clusters and maintain ongoing contact with senior business/product managers across Treasury and Trade Solutions/ Markets, Operations, Credit Risk Management Services, Consumer Bank, New Approval Committee and so on.
• Collaborating with Business and Technology teams on automation and data quality issues.
• Ensure full compliance with FMI risk policies and procedures as applicable.
• Represent FMI Risk on internal and external risk forums/committees as required.
• Ensure timely analysis and remediation of regional FMI exposures including reviewing with the relevant desks when breaches occur and provide exposure reporting commentary for senior management and regulators as and when needed.
• Assess the impact of emerging risks for existing & new memberships.
• Ensure awareness of latest markets news and impact on related FMIs and take actions as required.
• Represent Citi and FMI Risk in Industry Group Risk Forums, ISDA (Int’l Swaps and Derivative Association), FIA (Futures Industry Association), IIF (Institute of International Finance), and others as required.
• Use available tools and portfolio management techniques to effectively identify and assess trends and risks in the portfolio.
As a successful candidate, you’d ideally have the following skills and exposure:
Qualification/Knowledge/Experience:
• Master’s degree preferred with 5 to 10 years’ experience in credit risk management preferably in the financial services industry.
• Prior experience in Financial Market Infrastructure Risk Management (FIRM) preferred
• In-depth knowledge of financial markets and products such as securities, derivatives (OTC derivatives) and/or cash clearing and/or payment systems. Central Counterparty Clearing House/Payment system experience preferred.
• Experience interacting with senior management, regulators, and internal audit as well as managing regulatory examinations and audit reviews.
• Experience in driving own book of work and delivering against multiple initiatives.

Your Key Responsibilities
• Ensure accurate and timely delivery of services to clients (Primary Issuance & Post Issuances)
• Ensure specified quality of services at all levels of operations
• Ensure healthy and harmonious relationship with the sending locations
• Interface with the client / agent / custodian for resolution vide client calls / emails.
• Ensure you has assisted in creating proper backups through adequate cross training, within the department
• Responsible for managing productivity, accuracy and timeliness as per benchmark requirements
• Escalate all issues properly to the appropriate level to avoid any adverse impact on the business
• Generating reports in order to obtain periodic information on the inquiries received
• Always adhere to KOP and KPI Guidelines
• Assist with various projects, analysis, release testing, automation, process Improvement/re-engineering measures and other initiatives of the group
• Deliver daily assigned productivity target by meeting the required quality score
• Must communicate with staff, leads, and managers to coordinate operational processing within agreed time frames
• Always adhere to KOP and KPI Guidelines
Your Skills And Experience
• Domain knowledge of Debt Products / Settlements / Payments, corporate actions, Cash reconciliation, Billing & Invoice generation, Reconciliation, Loan servicing or US Mortgage would be added advantage
• Good written & verbal English skills. Ability to converse clearly with internal staff via telephone and using written communication.
• Good typing speed with accuracy, MS Office (especially MS excel)
• Ability to provide high transaction productivity and high level of attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work in the shifts
• Banking / Finance Service Industry/Loan Servicing/US Mortgage
