JD of a counsellor :
. Role of a counsellor involves meeting patients
Meeting patient within 24 hours of receiving request to contact
Sharing the essence of the Patient Support Program
Sharing essential information about the disease, broad treatment
guidelines and lifestyle modifications
Carefully listening to the concerns and difficulties faced by the
patient
Timely follow-up with patients to assess patient progress towards
therapeutic outcomes and also to ensure that the rapport and timely communication to the respective doctor.
Taking doctor and patient consent, and proper maintenance of
consent forms.
2. Value Addition to Doctors
Customizing the patient compliance program to the needs of
individual doctors and ensuring timely and high-quality patient servicing, care and counseling.
Sharing patient progress with doctors.
