Job Description
Provide contemporary knowledge and advice on all aspects of workplace health, safety, and environment to the region.
Ensure the effective application of HSE management policy, standards, and procedures.
Provide leaders with reports on performance and trends.
Implement risk assessments and controls for effective governance.
Collaborate on safety aspects of plant/process modifications.
Support HR and sites with IM/RTW procedures.
Oversee regional HSE event response and reporting.
Conduct investigations and audits to improve controls.
Identify and address training needs for HSE.
Provide high-standard advisory support and deliverables aligned with Regional HSE and business objectives.
Requirements:
Degree or relevant experience in Occupational Health and Safety.
Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in automotive, manufacturing/production, retail and service.
Very good knowledge of NZ safety laws and practices.
Strong communication skills and ability to influence others positively.
Working knowledge of Workers Compensation (ACC) legislation
