Job Description
• This role will further operate as the departmental HR expert, to advise, guide and support staff and managers by providing high level people management and development support across various functions
• The role includes, but is not limited to, increasing workforce capability, providing change leadership, and supporting day-to-day operations as well as on-going process
• improvement at the regional level.
• This role drives implementation of various HR initiatives conceptualized by the COEs such as Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, Operational Excellence, Grievance Handling, and Human Resource Policy Implementation to name a few.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE
Business/ Financials
• Identify HR priorities from corporate and departmental plans, translating business requirements into effective HR practices and delivering people solutions aligned to business objectives
• Partner with business on workforce planning and skills assessment and building hiring/onboarding efficiencies that will reduce time to market
• Working with business groups assess, create and implement innovative solutions for a variety of employee engagement initiatives within client group
• Draft and account for the budgets of the regions related to all HR activities such as hiring, learning and development and other employee activities
• Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues.
• Conduct effective, thorough and objective investigations of employee related matters
• Manage all regional vendors (hiring, training, compliance) in terms of cost, control and quality
• Deploy staff benefit administration and resolving grievances.
Customer (Both Internal & External)
• Work with regional leadership, front-line managers and employees to address all types of employee relations issues ensuring a balance in representing all parties’ interests
• Partner with managers to retain, develop and motivate people to achieve their fullest potential.
• Build various mechanisms to elicit feedback from employees at branches and regional office
• Provide ongoing support to the regional leadership team on human resources related matters, policies and procedures
• Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success.
• Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
• Identify various issues that contribute to employee dissatisfaction and deploy measures that are contextual to the region in an effort to create a conducive environment and control attrition.
• Ensuring employee engagement through routine engagement activities in the branches
Internal Process
• Analyze trends and metrics of the region in partnership with the COEs to develop solutions, programs and suggestions for policies
• Address disciplinary cases within the defined TAT and communicate/record incidents as required
• Maintain and ensure all internal and external reporting as outlined by the regulators and internal control functions is timely and accurate.
• Deploy and support various HR activities to ensure all SLAs required to deliver employee experience is met.
• Monitor adherence and completion of processes of Appraisals, Confirmations, PIPs and Promotions within set timelines.
• Track and improve all metrics related to HR activities such as recruitment, training, onboarding, grievance handling and key operational processes
• Statutory Compliance Management for the region. Ensure all HR operations adhere to legal standards.
Innovation & Learning
• Educates and provides HR policy guidance and interpretation
• Identifying training & development needs within the region in collaboration with Central Learning team- through job analysis, development areas from appraisals and regular consultation with Business Managers
• Suggest learning areas to COE and expand training and development programs based on both the region and the individual employee needs through an effective induction and training program.
• Design various programs to ensure pool of qualified trainers pool
• Cultivate professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance
• Build a robust HR team equipped with the latest HR knowledge and digital mindset
Qualifications: MBA / PGDBM
Experience :
• 12-15 years of overall experience with core HR experience of at least 8-10 years.
• In a Leadership role for at least 5 years
