Principal Integration Engineer (Applying)

The mission of the role is to enable seamless integration of platform software using appropriate tool and right level of automation by defining, educating and enforcing integration practices that contribute to quality and efficiency
How You Will Spend Your Days
Establishing Integration environment with the concept of dev ops and guideline for projects
Achieving high level of automation in the integration and release process
Specializing in managing, documenting, and enhancing software release process
Collaborating with testers and developers in order to fix software build issues, and provide training on integration and release work flow
Adhering to Software Release Process for every internal and external releases
Publishing integration performance metrics , static analysis reports, and test results
Ensuring testing activities as defined in the project plan are completed prior to release
Collaborating with the Development team to support release planning, estimation, and delivery processes using Agile methodologies
Ensuring common code base and branching strategies are well defined and implemented
Working closely with Engineering IT team for optimal use of available tools and servers
Sharing the learnings and best practices across the projects
Implementing continuous improvement for delivery and deployment performance
Familiarity with FOSS compliance and Creates FOSS disclosure document
A Successful Year One
Consistent integration testing and deployment process across projects
Measurement of right criteria’s , monitor and publish it
Come up with continuous improvement actions and implement it
Zero build failures
Minimal time between development and deployment
Minimal time of recovery in case of issues
Technical Knowledge and Skills
Bachelors in Engineering( Masters preferred)
10+ years of automotive software development, integration and testing experience
Experience in Continuous Improvement and build process
Expertise in DevOps process , tools and methodologies
Working experience in Jenkins (Plugins) Job Creation , scheduling , Maintenance, Jenkins pipelining & Networking basics
Hands on with SCM - GIT, SVN, RTC, Clearcase tools
Experience to Agile / SCRUM terminologies
Knowledge on UI Automation , Selenium, Robot framework , Appium
Working knowledge with Build system - LINUX (Yocto/Android), Scripting - Bash, Python, Perl & CAPL, Operating system - Linux , QNX , Android(familiarity in posix standards)
Capable of handling multiples projects / initiatives simultaneously and executing to completion
Good knowledge in software development life cycle
Programming languages: C, C++, JAVA & Real Time Operating Systems knowledge
