Key Responsibilities
Lead and maintain iwi relationships to support the implementation of the 'Whaia ki a Tata' district strategic plan.
Facilitate coordination of regular meetings with whanau, hapu, and iwi to ensure effective collaboration.
Solicit opportunities for whanau, hapu, and iwi to build their internal capabilities to practice their responsibilities as kaitiaki.
Support staff in the DOC New Plymouth district to increase their cultural competency and better understand the district's Treaty obligations and the priorities of our Treaty partners.
