Job Purpose
The Regional Academic Head will be responsible for the execution of all academic programmes and related activities in schools, Teacher Training, mentoring and guiding Principals, liaising as appropriate with internal and external stakeholders and contract associates to ensure achievement of excellence in academic delivery.
Knowledge and Experience:
· Should have 10 – 12 years of K12 work experience; must include teaching; previous experience as Vice Principal, Head Curriculum or other Academic Head positions is a must.
· Proven experience in K12 education delivery, monitoring and tracking & Co. Education in planning, delivery.
· Complete understanding of K12 curricula, Council mandates and curriculum implementation
· Sound knowledge and understanding of the K12 education sector
· Proven experience in the field of K12 Teacher Training and mentoring / development of teaching Staff
· Evidence of successful presentation, interaction and effective networking at senior organizational and industry levels
· Evidence of using own initiative, with a flexible approach to work and business
· Fluency in English - both written and spoken
· Excellent communication skills
· Interpersonal skills
· Flexibility for travel
