We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced legal professional to join our corporate legal team as Regional Legal Counsel for the APAC region. This individual will serve as the primary legal advisor for Avetta’s business operations across the APAC region, offering strategic guidance and legal advice on a wide range of legal and regulatory matters.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Legal Advisory
Provide proactive, forward-thinking strategic and practical legal advice to support the Company’s business operations in the APAC region.
Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, business teams, and other stakeholders.
Collaborate with external legal teams to provide consistent advice that keeps the big picture in mind.
Contract Management
Draft, review, advise on, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including sales, procurement, and partnership contracts.
Ensure contracts are compliant with local laws and align with the Company’s risk profile and commercial objectives.
Compliance & Regulatory Matters
Work with the Global Legal Team to support and maintain compliance programs to address applicable laws and industry regulations across the region.
Monitor legal and regulatory developments and advise on their impact on the business.
Employment Matters
Advise on employment-related issues, including hiring practices, employee relations, and terminations, ensuring compliance with local labour laws.
Assist in the resolution of employment disputes and provide guidance on workforce policies.
Corporate Governance
Support corporate governance and corporate maintenance for regional entities, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
Risk Management
Work with the Global Legal Team to identify potential legal risks and implement strategies to mitigate exposure.
Support and maintain internal policies and training programs to promote legal awareness within the organization.
Ideal Experience

The ideal candidate is a smart, dynamic individual who is collaborative, creative, and functions well in a fast-moving, constantly evolving environment and has a strong background in B2B SaaS, exceptional negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of applicable regional legal frameworks. This will include rapid issue spotting and working with the business to prioritize, analyze, and mitigate risk effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

Extensive knowledge of APAC regional legal frameworks, including commercial, employment, and corporate laws.
Strong contract negotiation and drafting skills, with a focus on commercial and technology agreements.
Proven ability to manage compliance programs and advise on regulatory matters.
Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated ability to balance legal and business risk with commercial opportunity.
Self-motivated, self-directed, and capable of working with minimal direction.

Ideal Education & Training

Bachelor of Laws (LLB), Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree, admission as a lawyer of the Supreme Court of an Australian State or Territory, and holder of a practicing certificate issued in an Australian jurisdiction.
8-10 years of relevant legal experience, preferably including in-house with a B2B SaaS or technology company.
