The Regional Manager, Business Banking is responsible for contributing to business development and overseeing multiple teams to grow and retain profitable relationships and developing high performing teams. Has proven success as an individual contributor and have demonstrated ability to serve as a resource and leader for all levels of Bankers.

What You’ll Do:

Collaborate and align with peers to create channels of open communication, drive consistency, provide shared learning, and align processes across all business-community banking teams.

Implement standardized policies, procedures, and service expectations across the division to ensure a consistent client experience.

Set clear goals and performance standards and regularly review progress toward individual and team objectives.

Recruit, train, and retain top lending talent. Foster a positive, team-oriented culture focused on collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement. Coach and manage the team to develop a high-quality, long term prospect portfolio.

Cultivate referral sources to increase number of prospects and build individual portfolio. Assist team members in improving coverage of prospects through purposeful outreach and follow up while hitting overall prospect coverage goals.

Create opportunities for the team to increase cross-selling and actively grow partnerships with other lines of business to offer clients the full scope of products and services.

Achieve new business by identifying and maintaining quality revenue generating sales opportunities and coach team members to achieve sales goals and manage team to scorecard expectations.

Collaborate with credit team to fully understand performance of portfolio companies managed by the team. Take ownership of overall credit quality of loans generated and reviewed within the team.

Effectively manage timely resolution of exceptions, renewals, reviews and the credit process for the team while adhering to all policies and guidelines and maintaining risk rating accuracy.

Anticipate future needs and interface pro-actively with stakeholders and partners to address those needs.

Support lending strategies by leading, actively engages with the community and team members in initiatives to achieve high levels of performance success in targeted markets.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or related field (MBA preferred)

10+ years of experience in business banking or commercial lending, with proven leadership experience

In-depth knowledge of business banking credit products, underwriting principles, and regulatory considerations

Strong collaboration skills and ability to influence across teams

Excellent analytical, communication, and presentation skills

Proven track record of driving growth while maintaining credit discipline

Compensation:

The estimated salary range for this role is $150,000 - $190,000, along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and experience.
