About the JCTS

Joint Colleges Training Services Pty Ltd (JCTS) is a joint venture between the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRM) and the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP). JCTS facilitates shared GP training activities, including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health initiatives, cultural education, mentorship, and registrar housing in remote communities.

About the role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you’ll lead a regional team to deliver and promote the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health training strategy. Success in this role relies on strong collaboration with cultural and medical educators, senior managers, RACGP, and ACCRM to develop programs that enhance cultural awareness and safety in GP training.

As Regional Manager, WA, you’ll:

build strong partnerships with JCTS, GP Colleges, external stakeholders, and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities to drive strategic outcomes.

establish clear communication channels across the ACCHO network aligned with program goals.

support the Deputy GM on strategic and operational matters, including change management and stakeholder engagement.

lead a high-performing team of cultural educators to deliver Aboriginal Health strategies and initiatives.

About you

Your deep understanding of Aboriginal health needs and communities, along with your leadership experience and cultural knowledge, will enable you to work effectively and thrive in this role.

You’ll also have:

Strong analytical and lateral thinking skills with a proactive, change-driven mindset.

Proven ability to manage complex issues in politically sensitive environments.

Deep understanding of the Aboriginal Community Controlled Health sector at regional and state levels.

Excellent communication skills with sound judgment and discretion.

A valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel.
