Job Description

Role: Regional Sales Manager for products used to monitor high voltage rotating machines.

Location: This is a remote based role, with support to Western Canada and USA

Your Impact

The Regional Sales Manager is responsible to meet company order, sales & market-share goals in the assigned sales territory through direct selling efforts, training and management. The successful candidate will be part of an innovative culture which places great emphasis on training, personal development, and growth. Our success is routed in a tradition of “being best prepared” to address concerns around high-voltage asset reliability in industries such as Power Generation, Oil & Gas, Pulp& Paper, Mining, and others. As a result, we promote and encourage active participation (and membership) in technical groups such as IEC, the IEEE and Industrial Application Societies.

Here’s where you’ll demonstrate your proficiencies:

Plan and execute the sales strategy for the assigned geographic area to achieve company order, sales & market-share objectives.
Maintain direct contact with customer accounts in geographic area of assigned responsibility & monitor customer satisfaction, industry trends & competitive product offerings, strategies and activity.
Develop a successful representative network in assigned geographic area as needed through representative selection, training, and supervision
Maintain company product training certifications as defined by Company
Coordinate and attend key industry trade shows, seminars & conferences representing company products.
Coordinate with Company to verify correct equipment is offered to customers based upon specific location requirements
Maintain company databases as required (opportunity funnel, contact manager, outage schedule, etc.)
Skills & Experience

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:

3 to 5 years of outside sales experience in high voltage equipment, demonstrated success
Sales experience working with or managing manufacturer’s representative firms
Knowledge of electric utility & generation industry and/or design & maintenance of generator / motor windings
Training & Experience in safety requirements for working with high voltage apparatus
Demonstrated history of learning technical products & applications
Ability to communicate technical information effectively including group presentations using MS Power Point
Strong oral and written communication skills in native language & English, public speaking ability
Demonstrated use of common business software programs such as MS Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point
Ability to work independently & travel extensively.
Valid Passport, Driver License
Availability to participate in training classes in Canada for periods up to 30 consecutive days, 2 to 3 times in first year of employment
Preferred Skills:

BSEE (Electrical Engineering) or BSME (Mechanical Engineering)
Working Conditions:

Office environment, either Company office or home office options
Power generating plant environment
60% travel after training (initial training is held onsite in Toronto)
