Registered Mental Health Nurse ( RMN ) – Locked Rehabilitation for Men

Location: Port Talbot, near Swansea

Salary: £20 – £22 per hour (£37,440 – £41,184 per annum based on 36 hours per week)

Hours: Full-Time and Part-Time available (Choose between 24 or 36 hours per week – 2 or 3 shifts)

Shifts: Day shifts, Night shifts, or Mixed (rotational) – Flexible options to suit your preference

We are seeking a Registered Mental Health Nurse ( RMN ) to join our expert multidisciplinary team in a locked rehabilitation service for men with complex and enduring mental health challenges.

Role Overview:

As an RMN in our 18-bed rehabilitation unit, you will deliver compassionate, patient-centred care while maintaining the highest clinical standards.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Providing tailored nursing care aligned with the latest best practices.

• Developing and implementing comprehensive care plans and risk assessments.

• Maintaining accurate patient records, both manually and electronically.

• Leading and supporting colleagues with empathy and professionalism.

• Ensuring compliance with DoLs/MCA, Royal Pharmaceutical guidelines, and regulatory standards.

• Collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to optimise patient outcomes.

• Promoting a safe and health-conscious environment for all.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• Valid NMC registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN).

• Experience in mental health care, particularly with challenging behaviours.

• Strong communication, administrative, and computer skills.

• A compassionate, person-centred approach to care.

• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks.

• Knowledge of health and safety regulations (DoLs/MCA).

• Commitment to ongoing professional development and teamwork.
