Registered Nurse 0.8 FTE. Maternity Leave Cover – 1-Year Fixed Term

About the Role

As a Registered Nurse in Endoscopy you will be responsible for supporting the patients through their endoscopy procedure from the telephone preassessment stage until their procedure is complete.

About the Team/Service/ Location
Our team of Registered Nurses works closely with our Gastroenterologists and General Surgeons to provide endoscopy procedures to the Taranaki region. Our endoscopy service runs Monday to Friday and on average will see approximately 20-30 patients through the department a day. The RN’s prepare patients for procedures and assist and monitor during procedures before the patient is transferred to our colleagues in the Day Ward for recovery.

Are you a Registered Nurse who is able to practise in New Zealand who would embrace an exciting opportunity in a beautiful province with fantastic work life balance?
Ideally candidates will have:
Previous Endoscopy experience desirable but not essential.
Acute Medical/Surgical experience
Ideally engaging in Post Graduate studies
Ideally a strong focus on patient assessment
Adaptability and flexibility

Be committed to self-directed learning
Excellent interpersonal skills
Current Annual Practising Certificate
Be motivated and willing to learn about Endoscopy Nursing
