Within the Consumer, Registry, and Strategic Services Division of Service Alberta and Red Tape Reduction, the Motor Vehicles & Registries Administration branch provides a broad range of support and expertise to Registry Agents in Alberta on all registry topics (Motor Vehicles, Vital Statistics, Corporate Registries, Personal Property, Land Titles, Alberta Health Care, and Alberta Organ & Tissue Donor).

We are currently seeking outstanding individual to be Specialists in our Registries Program Standards & Assurance unit.


Role Responsibilities
Reporting to the Team Lead the Registries Specialist will be responsible for, but not limited to the following functions:

Being the single point of contact for Registry Agents. (Specialized Call Center).
Providing critical, timely and effective support to the operational service delivery provided by the private Registry Agent Network in Alberta.
Coaching and advising a portfolio of Registry Agent Businesses on quality assurance standards, monitoring, reporting, and some financial matters throughout the province. This also includes occasionally going out for site visits. Quarterly (or as determined by the Team Leads), a few people may be rotated to be Performance Review Specialists to allow for learning and growth.
The successful incumbent must have:

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal to consult with clients, internal and external stakeholders, and members of the registry agent network.
Possess a high level of customer service skills to appropriately handle inquires, and complaints from the public, and registry agent network.
Adaptability and resilience in managing shifting priorities and high-pressure situations.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:

University graduation in a related field (preferably with emphasis on social sciences, communications or business); no experience required.
Related experience or education may be considered as an equivalency on a one for one basis.
Equivalency:

Directly related education or experience considered on the basis of:

1 year of education for 1 year of experience; or
1 year of experience for 1 year of education.
Requirement:
The incumbent is required to have:

Have proficiency with Microsoft Office particularly in Outlook, Word and Excel.
In-depth understanding of MOVES/ROADS applications and related interfaces and technologies.
Class 5 Driver’s License.
Candidates with the following the Assets will be preferred for the role:

At least 2 years experience working in a regulatory, service delivery focused environment.
Experience working with and interpreting legislation.
Front counter registry experience.
Experience working within policy development and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Remote or Hybrid work arrangement is NOT available.
