TARGETED VACANCY - You will be responsible for managing files in line with established file management processes to ensure ongoing high quality of service to parties and supporting other registry officers carrying out the necessary administrative work within the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal (QCAT).As a Registry Officer, you may be required to work across the Civil, Administrative and Disciplinary (CAD) Division or the Human Rights Division (HuRD).

About the Role

You will be responsible for managing files in line with established file management processes to ensure ongoing high quality of service to parties and supporting other registry officers carrying out the necessary administrative work within the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal (QCAT).As a Registry Officer, you may be required to work across the Civil, Administrative and Disciplinary (CAD) Division or the Human Rights Division (HuRD).

Your key responsibilities

You will:

Undertake file management under guidance and supervision, taking action on files to assist the decision makers.

Provide information to parties on processes relevant to the application, ensuring the file is progressed in accordance with QCAT procedures.

Provide frontline services to service users daily, over the phone, in person and/or in court. In doing so, you will keep stakeholders at the heart of service delivery and respond to their needs in a trauma-aware and compassionate manner, ensuring the prompt resolution of enquiries, requests issues and complaints.

Provide human-centred and trauma-informed service delivery and use of digital technology to improve service delivery and efficiencies.

Cultivate and nurture professional and collaborative relationships based on respectful and confidential engagement with key stakeholders including judiciary members and their staff, government agencies, self-represented litigants, and the general public.

Take ownership of developing your skills, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of current practices and procedures, seeking feedback, and staying motivated when managing challenging tasks.

Use, update and monitor relevant databases, digital tools, and files in line with departmental guidelines to ensure the integrity and accuracy of data.

Collaborate with the team to identify, communicate, review, and progress service improvements to registry processes and procedures.

Prepare relevant correspondence and documents and provide accurate and timely administrative support to other registry officers.

Participate in developing QCAT initiatives to support the achievement of the QCAT business excellence.

Undertake other tasks and duties as required to assist in or support the delivery of services within QCAT.
