Job Title- Regulatory Control Advisor,Associate

Location- Mumbai

Role Description

Within IPB, COO team plays constructive role in partnering with 'PPSS – Products Platform and Sustainable Solutions' product desks for driving Key Business initiatives and RTB activities (such as Business Integrity & Business Management activities). Function ensures adherence to risk & control governance framework in line with Regulatory requirements / Internal policies /Audit standards; also involving front to back review of processes and scaling up of controls to address the gaps that are self-identified or highlighted by Regulators.

Your key responsibilities
• MiFID II Regulations –EU Benchmarks and Best Execution
• Understand the MiFID II Regulations and implement them in the day-to-day activities
• Perform the EU Benchmarks – front to back process that includes preventive and detective breach identification
• Sound knowledge of Fixed Income and Foreign Exchange (FX) products
• Strong understanding of various financial graphs
• Should be able to navigate through various market data systems like Bloomberg, Refinitiv, Reuters, Liquid Metrix
• Sound understanding of the IBOR (LIBOR, EURIBOR etc) products and its transition.
• Understand systems landscape to access source system data in order to download reports directly from systems
• Managing the expectations of the senior stakeholders by providing timely MIS reports
• Supporting the stakeholders by assisting them on internal and external audit queries
• Co-ordinate with team members in Mumbai Centre/onshore on alternate data sources
• Analysis of results to identify control gaps, trends etc
• Present in excel/ PowerPoint to run controls/provide materials for governance forums
• Use 3rd party vendor systems where needed, run UAT for system changes
• Work closely with London based regulatory change team to develop standardized processes for change requests impacting reporting

Your skills and experience
• Person with post/graduate level degree and analytical skills
• Minimum 7-8 years banking experience, preferably Wealth Management
• Strong product knowledge/interest in developing in one or many of Forwards, Futures or OTC derivatives and in the risk/ assurance space
• Very Proficient in MS Office applications (excel, powerpoint, word) to improve existing process
• Experience in running projects / Project management experience
• Comfortable handling multiple tasks working with different stakeholders across Business
• Strong communication skills with ability to clearly articulate one's viewpoints/ blockers / challenges
• Prior experience in direct discussions with onshore teams
• Good team player, independent and reliable
