One of our premier global clients is on the hunt for an in-house superstar to join their team in a commercial and regulatory Legal Counsel capacity. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned Legal Counsel to support one of the world's most recognisable brands in technology and payments, across their Australia & New Zealand operations.

Responsibilities:

Identifying potential risks and providing strategic advice on a diverse range of risk and regulatory matters, to various stakeholders across the organisation.
Addressing issues specifically related to the technology sector including interpreting and advising on relevant regulations, particularly as they pertain to payments, digital assets, open banking and domestic payment schemes.
Developing initiatives on behalf of the Regulatory Affairs team for various business functions.
Creation and amendment of policies and procedures in alignment with regulatory changes.
Managing outside counsel where necessary.
Requirements:

6+ years PQE working in a top-tier firm.
Experience working in an established financial technology organisation highly regarded.
Deep understanding of Australian regulatory frameworks in the technology sector.
A commercial and pragmatic approach with excellent analytical and communication skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to work effectively with various stakeholders.
Must have full Australian working rights and be eligible to practice law in Australia.
