The Relationship Specialist role provides administrative support to the Client Facing Team. This team specifically works on a client's book of business of several hundred Defined Benefit Pension Plans with varying service levels.
Responsibilities
• Intake client requests through a group email box
• Enter ad hoc and routine cases into our workflow system
• Manage escalation requests
• Assist with providing materials for annual pension plan audits and other miscellaneous audit research
• Submit mailings through our third-party vendor
• Run weekly, monthly, and quarterly activity reports
• Process updates to various internal reference information
• Run searches through a commercial person locator service
• Work with the Contact Center to have calls pulled and reviewed
• Receive and responds to routine plan inquiries and requests from clients
• Take direction from, and supports, senior team members
• Attend internal training sessions to build knowledge of industry topics and trends
• Assist with special projects, as required
Requirements
• B.A. or B.S. degree is required or equivalent work experience
• Defined Benefit (DB) experience is a plus
• Proven excellent customer service skills and progressive probing skills
• Strong written communication skills
• Strong commitment to timing and quality standards
• Knowledge and understanding of Retirement Industry
• Ability to identify and facilitate issue resolution
• Proven prioritization and organizational skills
• Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to react to change in a positive and productive manner
• Ability to handle other essential tasks as assigned
• Ability to work independently and as a team player
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite, specifically Outlook, Word, and Excel
