Join the People & Capability team at Ngā Tamariki Puāwai o Tāmaki | Auckland Kindergarten Association (AKA), where your work will directly support the delivery of high-quality early childhood education to tamariki across our 112 kindergartens and KiNZ centres throughout Tāmaki Makaurau.
About the Role
This is a flexible, part-time fixed term role through to the end of Term 4, 2025 (approximately 22 hours per week, with some flexibility for the right person).
You will need to be available between 7:00am and 9:00am each weekday, a crucial time when our kindergartens and KiNZ centres are confirming reliever cover to meet tamariki and kaiako ratios.
Mornings can be very busy and dynamic, requiring someone who can think on their feet, solve problems quickly, and provide excellent support to our Reliever Coordinator and kindergarten and centre leaders.
The remainder of your hours can be worked flexibly throughout the week.
This role offers a hybrid working arrangement, with a mix of work from home and time in the Support Office (Auckland CBD). You will be in the office for a few hours each week, with flexibility to manage your schedule.
You will assist with the administration of our reliever booking system (Jitbug), onboarding and recruitment tasks, and supporting the Mobile Reliever Programme. You will also play a key role in ensuring accurate records and smooth communication across the organisation.
What You Will Bring
Preference previous experience in education administration
Confidence using digital tools and Microsoft Office (experience with HRIS or booking systems is an advantage)
Great communication skills, calm, professional, and solutions focused
High attention to detail, strong time management, and the ability to work independently
A commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and to supporting the diverse communities of Tāmaki Makaurau
