Key Responsibilities
• * Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger entries.
• * Prepare and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.
• * Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and general accounts monthly.
• * Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and budgets.
• * Perform regular internal audits to identify discrepancies and improve financial processes.
• * Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
• * Ensure timely and accurate submission of tax returns and other regulatory filings.
• * Maintain records of all financial transactions in accordance with the companys policies and standards.
• * Assist with payroll processing and related queries.
• * Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and practices to ensure compliance.
• Required Skills and Qualifications
• * Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• * Proven experience (2+ years) in accounting or finance-related roles, preferably in a remote capacity.
• * Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar tools).
• * Strong understanding of Malaysian financial regulations and tax laws.
• * Excellent numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• * Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
• * Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• * Proficient in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.
• * Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a virtual environment.
• Experience
• * Minimum of 2 years in a similar accounting role with hands-on experience in bookkeeping, financial analysis, and reporting.
• * Experience with cloud-based accounting software and remote working setups.
• * Previous experience in Malaysian tax preparation and compliance is highly desirable.
• Working Hours
• * Flexible working hours, with an expectation of 40 hours per week.
• * Must be available to communicate during regular business hours in Malaysia (9 AM to 6 PM GMT+8).
• * Occasional meetings may be scheduled depending on the business requirements.

• * In-depth knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• * Familiarity with Malaysian tax laws, GST, and other compliance regulations.
• * Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
