Are you a passionate, experienced Remote Area Nurse looking for an exciting opportunity to make a difference in Australia? Curis Recruitment is currently seeking skilled Remote Area Nurses to join healthcare teams in two unique Northern Territory communities.

Locations and Rates
Location 1: $106.85 per hour, increasing to $108.76 per hour starting ASAP. Rate includes casual loading, all overtime, callouts, and on-call duties. This location is southwest of Alice Springs, west of the Stuart Highway, near the Western Australia and Northern Territory border.
Location 2: $84.47 per hour, increasing to $86.27 per hour starting ASAP. Rate includes casual loading and a remote living allowance. No on-call requirements. This is an Indigenous communtiy in the Ljirapinta Ward of the MacDonnell Shire

Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality, culturally sensitive primary healthcare services to remote community members, including health assessments, chronic disease management, and preventive care.
Participation in the after-hours on-call roster for after-hours medical emergencies accompanied by on-call support worker
Respond to and manage acute medical situations and emergencies with limited resources, providing initial assessment, treatment, and stabilisation of patients before evacuation if necessary
Provide on-call services for urgent or emergency situations as required, ensuring continuous healthcare coverage in remote settings.
Selection Criteria
Credentials
Current AHPRA registration, with no restrictions
Demonstrated experience in Remote Area Nursing
Current REC and/or MEC certifications
Current NT driver's license
Must have full Australian working rights
Skills and Experience
Ability to adapt to the unique challenges and rewards of remote healthcare
At least (2) years of experience as a Remote Area Nurse
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, respecting cultural practices, traditions, and languages
Willingness and capacity to provide after-hours, on-call support as needed in some remote locations, ensuring 24/7 healthcare access for the community.
