Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of catering operations, including menu planning, food preparation, service delivery, and event execution, remotely. Manage and mentor a team of chefs, service staff, and event coordinators, providing guidance and support to ensure exceptional performance. Develop and implement efficient operational processes and workflows to optimize catering service delivery. Ensure strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards (HACCP, FSSAI guidelines) across all operations. Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely procurement of high-quality ingredients and supplies. Develop and manage catering budgets, monitoring expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality. Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop competitive pricing strategies and attractive service packages. Oversee the scheduling of staff, ensuring adequate coverage for all events and operational needs. Handle client inquiries, feedback, and complaints, ensuring prompt and satisfactory resolution. Conduct virtual quality control checks and performance reviews of catering services. Analyze operational data and metrics to identify trends, areas for improvement, and opportunities for growth. Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging culinary innovations to enhance service offerings. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring repeat business and positive referrals. Ensure compliance with all relevant local and national regulations pertaining to food service operations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Culinary Arts, or a related field. Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in catering management, with a significant portion in operations. Proven experience in managing remote teams and overseeing distributed operations. In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and best practices in the catering industry. Strong financial acumen, with experience in budgeting, cost control, and P&L management. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in using online collaboration tools, project management software, and POS systems. Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and effectively problem-solve. Strong negotiation and vendor management skills. A passion for delivering exceptional culinary experiences and outstanding customer service. Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends, as required by event schedules. Experience with event planning and execution is highly desirable.
