Job Title: Web Application Developer - Java / SQL / Azure

Shooting Stars Foundation is a non-profit organization committed to empowering underprivileged students through education, skill-building, and scholarships. Our Salesforce system plays a central role in tracking scholars, processing applications, managing disbursements, and ensuring compliance.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Website Developer on a contract basis to build our hackathon platform. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and take ownership of tech deployment from design to launch.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build and deploy secure, scalable web applications
• Develop intuitive and responsive UI/UX
• Integrate backend systems and ensure seamless database connectivity
• Maintain documentation and ensure code quality
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders for requirements and feedback
Technical Requirements:
• Grails Framework
• Azure Web Deployment experience
• Strong Frontend/UI design skills – ability to design clean, modern, and professional web pages
• Proficient in Java
• Knowledge of web security best practices
• Database management experience (MySQL/PostgreSQL/SQL Server)
Contract Details:
• 3 to 4 months (extendable based on performance and project scope)
• Remote (India-based preferred for timezone overlap)
• INR 40,000 - 45,000 per month (for full time – 40 hours a week) – If less hours, then it will be calculated accordingly
