We are looking for Removal Porters to assist with a hotel project in Central London. This temporary role offers hands-on work over a short period for those who are fit, dependable, and ready for a challenge.
• Location: The Strand, Central London (nearest tube stations: Embankment or Covent Garden)
Start Date: 6th January 2026
End Date: 16th January 2026
Shift Hours: 08:15 am – 5:30 pm
Pay: £140 per day
• Key Responsibilities
• Lifting and moving furniture, including large and heavy items such as beds and wardrobes.
• Dismantling items, such as beds or wardrobes, and taking down curtains .
• Carrying furniture and objects up/down several flights of stairs in a commercial hotel building.
• Packing, labelling, and detaching furniture with care and precision.
• Loading items into customer vans in a specific order for efficient transportation.
• Manoeuvring large, bulky items through the building in a safe and careful manner.
• Handling items diligently to protect furniture from damage.
• Working collaboratively as part of a team, typically in crews of 2-10 people.
• Requirements
• Physical Fitness: Must be strong, fit, and capable of lifting heavy objects.
• Punctuality & Reliability: Shift starts promptly at 08:15 am, and teams will rely on all members to be on time.
• Experience: Previous experience as a Removal Porter or Picker Packer is advantageous.
• Manual Handling: Ability to handle demanding tasks, including lifting, climbing stairs, and working in varying conditions is essential/
• Teamwork: Strong collaboration and communication skills for effective teamwork.
• Induction: Candidates must attend an induction on the first day.
• Safety Gear: Candidates must bring and wear safety footwear whilst on site.
