Van driver and Removals Position
We’re hiring for a temp to perm position for our removals and storage client in Silvertown, East London. This role is first and foremost to work as a removals operative but also as a driver. The majority of work load is domestic and will involve manual handling.
You will be based in East London but on occasions be asked to travel slightly further with an overnight stay in a hotel provided by the company.
£11.50 an hour
Duties
• Removal driver (removals experience preferred)
• Loading and unloading truck/ van
• Packing (home and office contents)
• Furniture dismantling/ reassembly (must have own tools)
• Smart and presentable (uniform supplied)
• Good communication skills
• Minimum age 26 (insurance stipulation)
Shift Times
• 8am - 5pm Mon to Fri (occasional weekend working rota based)
All crews arrive 7.45am (tea & chat) and to start vehicle, ready to leave at 8am. Predominately you will work on a job and finish basis, 75% of the working week crews are finished before 3pm.
