Job Description: Recruitment Manager/Head - Automobile Sector (Tractors & Beyond)

Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Recruitment Manager to lead our talent acquisition efforts in Kolkata. This pivotal role will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive recruitment strategies to attract, engage, and secure top talent across various functions within our automobile business, with a strong understanding of the specific skill sets required in the tractor and broader automotive sectors. The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of successfully managing the full recruitment lifecycle, including onboarding, within a dynamic and competitive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Talent Acquisition: Develop and implement proactive and innovative recruitment strategies aligned with the company's business objectives and growth plans, specifically considering the nuances of the automobile and tractor industries.
- Full Recruitment Lifecycle Management: Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including job profiling, sourcing (utilizing diverse channels including direct sourcing, online platforms, networking, and agencies), screening, interviewing, assessment, offer management, and negotiation.
- Automobile & Tractor Industry Expertise: Leverage a deep understanding of the talent landscape within the automobile sector, including specific knowledge of roles and skill sets related to tractors, manufacturing, engineering, sales, after-sales service, and other relevant functions.
- Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers across departments, understanding their specific talent needs and providing expert guidance throughout the recruitment process.
- Sourcing Innovation: Identify and implement effective sourcing methodologies to attract both
active and passive candidates, including leveraging industry-specific platforms and networks.
- Candidate Experience: Ensure a positive and professional candidate experience throughout the recruitment process, reflecting the company's employer brand.
- Onboarding & Integration: Develop and oversee a comprehensive onboarding program to ensure new hires are effectively integrated into the organisation and become productive members of the team quickly.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external recruitment agencies and vendors as required, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality of service.
- Employer Branding: Contribute to strengthening the company's employer brand through recruitment activities and initiatives.
- Reporting & Analytics: Track and analyse key recruitment metrics (e.g., time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, quality of hire) to identify areas for improvement and provide regular reports to senior management.
- Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure all recruitment activities adhere to relevant legal and regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Team Collaboration (if applicable): Potentially lead and mentor a small recruitment team in the future.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree would be an advantage.
- 10-15 years of progressive recruitment experience post qualification, with a significant portion of this experience gained within the automobile industry, including direct exposure to recruiting for roles within tractor manufacturing, sales, or related functions.
- Proven success in managing the full recruitment lifecycle, from sourcing to onboarding.
- Demonstrated expertise in utilizing various sourcing methodologies and platforms.
- Strong understanding of the Kolkata/East India talent market.
- Excellent interviewing, assessment, and negotiation skills.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels.
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with HRIS and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent command of English and Hindi/Bengali (written and spoken).
- Must be below 40 years of age.
