It takes a fine kind of individual to love and live at Browns. We are extremely picky, and rightly so. This is our livelihood; we don’t know what else to do! Browns Ski Shop today is a result of the hard work of those fine Jedi warriors that have gone before us. Will the Browns Ski Shop of tomorrow be shaped by you?
Rental Tech
Do you imagine your line down every mountain, hill or cliff, whether there is snow or not? Is Blizzard of Aahhhs what you think of as a classic movie? If so you may be the answer to our dreams!!
We have full-time vacancies in our rental shop for this coming winter. You must be computer literate, have a good working knowledge of most ski and snowboard brands, be able to work under immense pressure, be happy getting your hands dirty at the less glamorous end of the ski industry, and most importantly be a keen skier or snowboarder. Knowledge of Australian would be an advantage.
We also have a vacancy in our workshop. Applicants need to have relevant tuning experience and will have used either Wintersteiger or Montana machinery. Knowledge of edge and base repairs or binding mounting is not essential but would be an advantage.
You must be eligible to work in NZ. Successful applicants will be starting staff training in early June. Our season usually runs until late September/early October.
In return for your hard work, Browns Ski Shop can offer you the following: time to do at least 2 days’ skiing/riding per week, money (yes we do pay you), the odd hangover (courtesy of the Lone Star), being part of the best team in NZ, and lots of fun and laughter.
