Full job description
QuickCircuit has requirements for a new member to join our service and repair team. The Repair Technician is
responsible for carrying out necessary rework on production units to ensure they meet customer specifications as
well as meet QuickCircuit high degree of quality standards.
Working as part of the service team you will carry out repairs of production units while providing feedback to
production teams on assembly methods and advising customers of design for manufacturing improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
Interpret visual inspection data and carry out rework on production units
Operate product test equipment and utilise in-house test tools to fault find and diagnose functional test
failures
Provide regular feedback to production teams to improve product quality and first pass yield.
Provide design for manufacturing (DFM) and design for test (DFT) feedback to engineering teams and
customers
Preferred skills & attributes:
Recognised Tertiary Qualification in Electronics/Electrotechnology Engineering
At least 1+ years of experience in Electronics manufacturing industry
Exceptional hand soldering skills
Experience with BGA rework
Sound technical knowledge, with ability to read and understand product schematics, part specifications and
other engineering drawings and manuals.
Experience with the operation of electronic functional test equipment
Professional in attitude, presentation with a very strong work ethic
Quick learner who is able to multitask effectively and prioritise work.
The ability to work and manage output independently as well as perform well within the team
Proficient in use of computers and relevant computer programs/applications
NZ Residency or NZ Citizenship is preferred.
Other Responsibilities / requirements
Available for shift allocation based on company requirements.
