As part of our fleet servicing crew as an Overnight Automotive Mechanic, you'll travel between locations, performing an array of services such as preventative maintenance, diagnosing and repairing vehicles while ensuring compliance and keeping a line of communication open between customers and internal teams. (Full time-at least 30 hours, non-flat rate)No decrease in hourly rate when driving from site to site on the clockCompany vans providedOption to elect in our comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and other supplemental insurance options.Paid vacation and sick timeOpportunity to continue to impact the automotive industry with a growing company offering room for advancementWHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues and potential problems.Diagnose and repair various vehicle systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, electrical, and HVAC.Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid replacements.Use diagnostic tools and equipment to analyze vehicle malfunctions and determine appropriate repair methods.Provide accurate estimates for repair costs and time required for completion.Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs.Test and verify repaired vehicles to ensure proper functioning and customer satisfaction.Keep up-to-date with industry advancements, technical manuals, and service bulletins.Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety and environmental regulations.WHAT ARE THE QUALIFICATIONS?Must be 18 years of age with a valid driver's license and the ability to driveMust be an energetic self-starter willing to work in all weather conditions to include but not limited to hot and cold temperatures, rain, snow, and sleet.At least 5 years working experience as an Automotive Mechanic with a strong understanding of vehicle systems and components.Familiarity with diagnostic and repair manuals such as ProDemand with the ability to interpret and follow specifications.Must be patient, persistent, and possess problem-solving skills, especially when it comes to challenging repairs.Must supply your own basic tools. Heavy duty tools will be provided as neededProficiency in using diagnostic equipment and specialized tools.In-depth knowledge of automotive repair and maintenance techniquesStrong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality workWHAT EXPERIENCE ISN'T REQUIRED BUT WILL HELP SET YOU APART FROM OTHER APPLICANTS?ASE certification(s) (shows you went above and beyond your work experience to gain more industry knowledge)Previous mechanic experience in a mobile capacity (you've been exposed to different servicing sites, are adaptable to your surroundings, and enjoy being on-the-go during your workday)WORKING CONDITIONSThis job will involve occasional exposure to some disagreeable elements such as hot and cold temperatures, loud noises, dust/dirt, and exhaust fumes.PHYSICAL DEMANDSThis is not an all-inclusive list but is intended to give an overview of the requirements of the position.
