Job Summary:
The School Counselor provides guidance and support to students in their academic, career, and personal development. This role involves working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and administrators to ensure students' well-being and academic success. The School Counselor is responsible for addressing students' emotional and social needs, developing intervention strategies, and creating a supportive environment conducive to learning.
Key Responsibilities:
• Counseling and Support:
• Provide individual and group counseling to students addressing academic, emotional, and social issues.
• Academic Guidance:
• Help students set and achieve academic goals.
• Assist with course selection and educational planning.
• Provide support for students facing academic challenges or learning difficulties.
• Career Development:
• Guide students in exploring career options and setting career goals.
• Facilitate career exploration activities and workshops.
• Collaboration and Communication:
• Work closely with teachers, administrators, and parents to support students’ needs.
• Participate in school meetings and contribute to the development of school policies and programs
Qualifications:
• Graduation & Master’s degree in School Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a school counseling role or related field preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Knowledge of child development, educational theory, and mental health issues.
Salary : 25K-50K Salary Negotiable for Good Candidates.
