MAIN PURPOSE
The R&D Senior Laboratory Technician will actively participate as a member of a dynamic research team focused on the design, delivery and control of the core processes and associated equipment throughout the development and implementation of current and future generations battery materials, Under the guidance of the Indian R&D Facilities Manager, with support from the R&D global leadership team and working alongside other laboratory personnel, they will enable on going scientific research projects in the Agratas laboratories in Bengaluru.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Owns the design of the research facility
• Understand cost and lead times of research facility installation
• Supports R&D India with facility design and equipment ordering
• Supports vendor selection process technical / product suitability
• Responsible to ensure that all documentation relevant to the commissioning phase is received by the Project.
• Responsible for vendor interactions required during commissioning
• Responsible for equipment installations planning
• Responsible for the equipment acceptance testing plan and execution
• Prepare HIRA documentation for dry room equipment and operations
ǪUALIFICATIONS ( Knowledge, Skills and Experience )
• Ph.D plus experience in battery fabrication, or other applicable formulation and fabrication techniques e.g mixing, roll-to-roll coating
• Must have experience of delivering laboratory environments and associated fit outs.
• Compliance and regulations knowledge and experience with installations and associated HS&E procedures, including risk assessment and safety assessment.
• Must understand ISO, audit procedures and methods.
• Strong communication skills.
• Clear thinker, able to divide a job into small logical steps.
