The individual will sit within Research in the globally integrated SA team. This role involves review of written re-search as set out in FINRA rules (esp Rule 2210) regarding written communication with the public. SAs balance risk management (regulatory, reputational and financial risk) with commerciality (being first to market).

Your Key Responsibilities
Evaluate reports, make independent business decisions, implement necessary changes to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and in-house policies. SAs evaluate reports with respect to logic, organization, and valuation methodology; ensure clarity and internal consistency; and enforce the need for reasonable basis and transparency in research. SAs must make independent business decisions regarding content - in a high-pressure environment - and be able to explain necessary changes to analysts (and potentially to regulators). Monitor workflow and prioritize documents. SAs must prioritize work from a commercial standpoint - considering factors such as time zones around the globe, actionability, market impact, analyst availability, meeting and marketing schedules, management focus, and SA staffing. Communicate effectively with research analysts and product management team. SAs must communicate with DB's global analyst community and tactfully help analysts change wording, and in certain cases remove text (e.g., on restricted stocks) - sometimes without letting the analysts know it's been removed or why (e.g., with watch-listed names). Supervisory analysts must be sensitive to cultural and regional differences with regard to meaning and subtle differences/implications in language and images. SAs frequently act as liaison between analysts' demands and management concerns. They must also work well with the production team to edit documents and identify formatting issues. Work closely with control room, compliance and legal in identifying potential conflicts, or 'hits' (watch- or restricted-list companies or countries). SAs must understand and implement changes required by the control room. They must know when and how to argue the analyst's case to the control room, and vice versa - requiring a working knowledge of the key elements of both roles.
