As a Reservations Agent, you will be the first point of contact for guests wishing to book their stay at our hotel. Your primary responsibility will be to provide a seamless reservation experience while upholding the highest standards of customer service. You will handle reservation inquiries via phone, email, and online platforms, ensuring that each guest's needs are met with personalised attention.
The Hotel
Shangri-La The Marina, Cairns is a luxury five-star hotel located beside Marlin Marina and Trinity Inlet in the heart of Cairns. With 255 guest rooms, 1+ function venues and extensive food and beverage facilities, the hotel is part of a leading international company with more than 100 hotels and resorts worldwide.
The Role
Manage all incoming reservations inquiries efficiently and professionally
Assist guests with availability, room selection, and rates while promoting the hotel's services and special offers
Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work under pressure and problem solve
Accurately input and update reservation details into the hotel's property management system
Monitor room availability and assist in maximising occupancy and revenue through upselling and cross-selling techniques
Ability to effectively manage your time and multitask to ensure deadlines and timeframes are met
Exceptional telephone technique and communication skills
Previous experience in a Reservations/Front Office Management (preferred)
Experience using Opera PMS (preferred)
