Responsible for completing high quality maintenance activities for parks, reserves and streetscapes within the City, you will need to be able to make informed technical and operational decisions and provide support, leadership and advice to staff members and apprentices as required.
We can offer you variety with duties that include developing and maintaining work programs, preparing maintenance schedules, landscaping, garden refurbishment, pruning, litter removal, fertilising, mowing, mulching and general garden/turf maintenance.
You will be required to work to daily maintenance schedules and safely operate of a variety of horticultural equipment.

Sound communication and interpersonal skills
Able to work in accordance with WHS and industry obligations
Experience in the maintenance and safe operation of various parks and gardens related plant and equipment
‘C’ Class driver’s licence
WHS General Induction for Construction (White Card)
This position offers a gross wage of $1,431 per week (incorporate all allowances and penalty rates), and:
12% superannuation with the option to co-contribute up to a further 5%
A variety of health and wellbeing programs - physical health reimbursement subsidy payment of up to $200 per annum, free flu vaccinations, free skin cancer checks, mental health programs and Employee Assistance Provider (EAP) services
Flexible working arrangements, including rostered days off and two additional paid days of absence per annum
A culture of learning with training/development opportunities, including paid study leave and study fees
Salary packaging opportunities for motor vehicles, etc.
