Job Description
Responsibilities (Shared Between Couple):
Oversee day-to-day monitoring of the lighthouse's automated lighting and safety systems.
Maintain the lighthouse tower, visitor cottages, and grounds.
Greet and guide occasional visitors or booked guests (if part of a heritage/holiday letting programme).
Log weather, maintenance, and operations data.
Perform cleaning, gardening, and minor repair work.
Ideal For:
Couples comfortable with remote, off-grid or semi-isolated living.
Retired pairs, caretakers, or self-employed duos (remote work-friendly).
Those with practical skills in DIY, basic electrics, plumbing, or gardening.
Requirements:
UK residents or valid right to work in the UK.
At least one partner with a valid driving licence.
Physically able to climb stairs and carry out manual tasks.
Prior experience in caretaking, property management, or hospitality is a plus.
Must enjoy solitude, nature, and teamwork with each other.
Location: Remote lighthouse along the UK coast – locations vary (e.g., Isle of Wight, Pembrokeshire, Scottish Highlands)
Type: Seasonal or long-term (6–12 months minimum commitment preferred)
Compensation:
Modest salary or stipend (e.g., £1,000–£1,800/month per person depending on duties)
