We are looking for a trade qualified carpenter to join an established Christchurch based company who specializes in renovations, repair work and maintenance on a range of residential properties.
This is a full-time permanent opportunity to join a great team, utilising your expertise in carpentry and cabinet making to deliver high-quality residential construction projects.
Pay rate will be $35.00 to $40.00 per hour depending on your previous experience and qualifications.
What you'll be doing
Performing residential renovations including kitchens and bathrooms ensuring an excellent finish on all projects
Fabricating and installing custom cabinetry, shelving, and other built-in furniture
Reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, and specifications to complete projects to the required standards
Collaborating with other tradespeople to ensure seamless project delivery
Maintaining a clean and organised work environment
Dealing with customers in a professional and friendly manner
Comply with all health and safety regulations
What we're looking for
Proven experience as a residential carpenter, with a strong background in carpentry and cabinet making
Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, and specifications
Skilled in the use of power tools and equipment
Excellent attention to detail and a focus on quality workmanship
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
A valid driver's licence
