About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Respiratory Physician to join our team at the Waitemata District Health Board in Gisborne.
As a Consultant Respiratory Physician, you will be responsible for providing clinical expertise across the specialty of General Respiratory and basic Sleep Medicine.
You will work collaboratively with a team of general medicine physicians and subspecialists to deliver comprehensive acute medical care.
Key responsibilities include undertaking acute medical receiving with a schedule of 3 weeks on followed by 3 weeks off wards, undertaking outpatient chest clinics, and providing a bronchoscopy service.
Additionally, you will liaise with tertiary respiratory services in multidisciplinary management of patients with lung cancer and complex respiratory disorders.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
Relevant medical degree and board certification in Respiratory and Internal Medicine
Eligibility for specialist registration in New Zealand
Experience in acute general medicine
Proficiency in performing bronchoscopies and managing lung cancer referrals
