We are part of Enterprise Technology, the heartbeat of our bank! Global Risk Analytics (GRA) Function is accountable for Model Risk to the Group. GRA, is a quantitative analytics function spanning across the former HSBC sub-functions of WMR (market risk, CVA, CCR, credit), Operational Risk, Regulatory and Financial Crime Compliance, this is a high risk environment in the financial services industry, with the impact from regulators, customers, shareholders and the media is at an exceptional level, meaning that compliance with the letter and spirit of regulation globally has never been more important.
GRA IT team provides the required IT platform for the model developers to create / train models and eventually deploy them in an automated way into production. GRA IT team ensures these models are packaged such that they are exposed as ‘Model as a Service’ to be consumed by various business functions as part of their data driven decisioning use cases.
As a Senior Project Manager (Technical Product Manager), you would be expected to driver the decisioning pods on the delivery excellence, service excellence, engineering excellence journey, championing the adoption of practices and set high standards.
In this role, you will:
• Act as a SME on the design and implementation of technology solutions to meet the needs of the Wholesale Credit Decisioning Systems function on a tactical and strategic basis covering number of significant Regulatory and business transformation initiatives in the bank.
• Collaborate with technical leaders and product owners to contribute to product and project strategy, code standards, roadmap definition, and requirements gathering.
• Closely work with Lead Platform Architect to drive a robust and consistent platform & solution architecture
• Accountable for ensuring compliance of the products and services with mandatory and regulatory requirements, control objectives in the risk and control framework (in line with published standards and guidelines) and with the architecture function, implementation of the business imperatives.
• Provide support across the end-to-end delivery and run lifecycle. Carry out software development, testing and operational support activities with the ability to move between the technology stacks.
• Advocate and advance modern software development practices within the mobile engineering community. Grow the technical expertise of engineering community.
Helping with designing, maintaining and improving all aspects of the software delivery lifecycle
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
• Extensive knowledge on building and designing Rest API, API Gateway, API Standards, Micro-services, Web services and Integration styles
• Solid experience on engineering and delivering software products.
• Sound knowledge of POP, OOPS, SOLID Design concepts
• Familiar with security practices for development
• Good to have knowledge of tools like Splunk, AppDynamics, JIRA, Confluence
• Credibility and ability to influence stakeholders convincingly with well-considered logic. Experience on building end to end Cloud Architecture on GCP using Docker/Kubernetes
• Proactive and problem-solving attitude. A track record of making complex business decisions with authority, even in times of ambiguity, considering the potential long term risks and implications.
