RESTART Program Coordinator

Team: Community Health | Location: Mansfield | Status: Permanent Part-Time (0.4eft)

About the role

The RESTART Program Coordinator, part of the Primary Care Centre team, leads the Mansfield and surrounding areas’ community-based ******* and drug harm reduction program.

Responsible for high-quality client care, team leadership, resource management, and continuous quality improvement, the Coordinator ensures Health Service values are upheld. Reporting to the Primary Care Centre Manager, they manage daily RESTART operations, act as the main contact for the Executive and team, provide clinical expertise, mentorship, and support professional development.

✅ Key Responsibilities

The role responsibilities of RESTART Program Coordinator includes but not limited to;

Ensure delivery of (RESTART) ******* and drug services involving rehabilitation, case management, and prevention aligned with person-centred, coordinated care.

Support governance by attending community steering committee meetings with key stakeholders including GPs, local government, police, and others.

Manage RESTART staff and resources by providing clinical, logistical, and operational leadership, including support and supervision.

Collaborate with the Mansfield community and key stakeholders to address ******* and drug use, focusing on prevention and early intervention.

Support ongoing evaluation of the program and potential expansion to other rural areas facing similar issues.

Use a two-way approach encouraging client participation to achieve successful health outcomes.

Establish and maintain effective therapeutic partnerships with clients and their families, respecting individual needs and preferences.

Participate in research and development, contributing to clinical guideline development and committee activities.

Communicate effectively, ensuring clients are treated with dignity and respect.

Provide healthy lifestyle advice considering psychosocial factors and their impact on self-management.

Foster collaborative service delivery to promote client participation and positive health outcomes.

Pursue ongoing professional and personal development.

Undertake leadership activities that support the organisation’s values, key accountabilities, and standards.

Ensuring accuracy in all document filing, confidentiality and utilising different computer software programs

Key Selection Criteria Summary

Essential:

Current AHPRA-registered Nurse with Clinical Nurse Specialist experience in Drug and ******* Services.

Experience in community health and health education.

Proficient in electronic communication and software systems.

Strong communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.

Knowledge of relevant legislation and national standards.

Experience in project planning, implementation, and evaluation.

Commitment to organisational values and effective written/verbal communication.

Completion of core competencies in ******* and Other Drug training as per Victorian standards.

Evidence of required flu vaccinations.

Desirable:

Prior experience with UNITI and knowledge of Commonwealth and State funding/policy.

Awareness of rural community service challenges.

COVID-19 vaccination recommended per ATAGI guidelines.
