As a Food & Beverage service colleague at Harvest Restaurant, you will be at the forefront of creating extraordinary dining experiences for our guests. Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Bar, Beverage and Restaurant service
- Greeting and welcoming guests with warmth and genuine hospitality.
- Guiding guests through the menu, making recommendations, and ensuring their dining preferences are met.
- Taking accurate orders and efficiently delivering food and beverages to guests' tables.
- Assisting guests with any inquiries, dietary requirements, or special requests.
- Maintaining a thorough knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including local and international wines and cocktails.
- Ensuring tables are set up neatly and that the dining area is clean and presentable at all times.
- Handling payments and providing accurate bills to guests in a courteous manner.
- Collaborating with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Adhering to health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe dining environment.
To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and attributes:
- Prior experience (2 years min) in restaurant food and beverage service is mandatory and must be verifiable!!
- A genuine passion for providing exceptional customer service and creating memorable guest experiences.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with guests and team members.
- A proactive and positive attitude with the ability to work well in a small team environment.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and tidy dining area.
- Knowledge of food, beverage & wine service, including an eagerness to learn more about local beer, wines and cocktails.
- A current NZ drivers license and a method of transport.
We currently have fixed term contracted positions available starting from the October 2026 ending March/April 2026.
