Restaurant Cook, Traditions - Embassy Suites by Hilton South Bend at Notre Dame

Seeking a highly motivated person with a heart for service to join our culinary team at our restaurant Traditions! Located in the vibrant Eddy Street Commons across from the University of Notre Dame, we are in a prime location. We host a variety of receptions and special events throughout the year, and we need a dedicated Restaurant Cook to ensure our guests have a delicious and memorable meal. You will train with our Executive Chef to learn to prepare each of our menu items quickly and efficiently to serve both small and large parties. Previous restaurant cooking experience is preferred.

The preferred candidate will have previous restaurant cooking experience. This is a Full-Time position, candidates must have open availability including weekends and holidays.

What will I be doing?

As a Restaurant Cook, you would be responsible for preparing food items in accordance with recipes and established standards in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Prepare food items according to designated recipes and quality standards

Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards at all times

Manage guest orders in a friendly, timely and efficient manner

Ensure knowledge of menu and all food products

Stock and maintain designated food station(s)

Visually inspect all food sent from the kitchen

Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations

Prepare requisitions for supplies and food items, as needed
