Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and customer-oriented Server for our Indian Restaurant in Burnaby/ New Westminster to join our team. As a Server, you will be responsible for providing excellent service to our guests, taking their orders, and ensuring their overall dining experience is enjoyable. Your role will be crucial in creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere for our customers.
- Greet and seat customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Present menus and provide detailed information about the dishes and beverages
- Take accurate food and drink orders from customers
- Enter orders into the POS system and ensure accuracy
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders
- Serve food and beverages to customers in a prompt and efficient manner
- Check on customers regularly to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, dining areas, and server stations
- Follow all food safety regulations and guidelines
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Server or in the food industry is preferred
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
- Basic math skills for handling payments and making change accurately
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members effectively
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
