Job Summary:
We are seeking skilled and enthusiastic Waiters/Waitresses to join our team at Marmoris Beach Lounge, Mahabalipuram. As a Waiter/Waitress, you will play a key role in providing exceptional customer service and creating a memorable dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate is personable, knowledgeable about our menu offerings, and capable of delivering efficient and attentive service.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome guests with a friendly and positive attitude.
- Present menus to guests, explain daily specials, and answer any questions regarding food and beverage selections.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen and bar staff promptly.
- Serve food and beverages to guests, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and promptly address any concerns or requests.
- Anticipate guest needs and provide recommendations based on their preferences.
- Up-sell menu items, beverages, and promotional offers to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
- Maintain a clean and organized work station, including table setup, silverware, and glassware.
- Process guest payments and handle cash transactions accurately.
- Collaborate with the kitchen staff to ensure smooth communication and timely delivery of orders.
- Assist with bussing and resetting tables to maintain a clean and inviting dining area.
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures to uphold food handling and hygiene standards.
- Stay updated on menu changes, daily specials, and any allergen or dietary information.
- Work as a team player, supporting fellow staff members and cooperating with the restaurant management.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a waiter/waitress required.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including wine and cocktail recommendations.
- Ability to memorize and recall menu items and specials accurately.
- Professional and courteous demeanor.
- Basic math skills for processing payments.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems is a plus.
