Job Description
As the Retail Administrative Assistant (12-month Term), you’ll play an important role in supporting the day-to-day operations of Jets Gear retail locations and online retail initiatives. From reporting and retail administration to merchandising support and special projects, you’ll help keep operations running smoothly while contributing to the overall fan and customer experience.
What to be excited for in this role:
Support daily retail operations through reporting, data tracking, payroll coordination, and administrative support across multiple retail locations.
Assist with signage creation, promotional materials, product organization, and in-store retail initiatives to support merchandise launches and sales campaigns.
Support TrueNorthShop.com with product updates, online merchandising, product uploads, and coordination of retail-related website content.
Assist with organizing, tracking, and preparing game merchandise programs, including certificates, inventory management, and shipment coordination.
Reconcile credit card statements on a monthly biases as well as compile expense reports as required.
Participate in retail meetings, inventory counts, operational projects, and cross-functional initiatives supporting Jets Gear and Sea Bears retail operations.
Assist with retail social media initiatives and content creation to help promote new products, collections, and retail campaigns.
Collaborate with team members across the Retail department while supporting special events, merchandise activations, and additional projects as required.
Perform other duties as required that align with the responsibilities of the role and the needs of the organization.
What we need from you:
Degree/Diploma in Business Administration or previous experience in an administrative role considered an asset.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a customer service-focused approach.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in administrative and operational tasks.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Comfortable working with data, pulling reports, auditing information, and maintaining accurate records.
Familiarity with social media platforms and digital content coordination is considered an asset.
Ability to work independently while contributing positively within a collaborative team environment.
Experience with retail systems, shipping/receiving, Shopify, Adobe Photoshop Elements, SAP Concur, or Workforce Scheduling software would be considered an asset.
Participate in annual inventory counts held to the June 30th/July 1st.
Flexibility to support special events, off-site activations, evenings, weekends, holidays and operational needs as required.
