Luss Estates Company are currently seeking to recruit a seasonal Retail Assistant to join our Retail Team. This position would be suitable for those looking to develop their experience in retail, in addition to another part time job or alongside education.
This is a 3 month contract from August until 2nd November. Immediate start required. Shift patterns are based on seasonal demand with minimum hours guarantee of 16 hours per week.
This role will be based solely within the 2 main retail and leisure businesses which are Luss General Store - selling luxury gifts, crafts and homewares, Loch Lomond Trails - a magical outdoor adventure through the woodlands of Luss which includes our small farm park. During October we host our annual Scary Faerie Trail and Pumpkin Patch event. Please note this is a physical role which will occasionally require outdoor working.

Luss village is one of Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Parks hidden gems, if you would like to work within one of Scotland's best beauty spots then we have the role for you! You will spend time working within the 2 main retail and leisure premises'. We are open 7 days per week throughout peak season. Shift patterns will include weekdays, weekends and bank holidays. Main duties and responsibilities will include:
Serving and assisting customers in store with sales and enquiries
Replenishing stock regularly
Creating effective and attractive retail displays to maximise sales
Selling and promoting tickets for our woodland trails
Assisting with set up of our seasonal Halloween event
Processing stock and incoming orders
Answering phone calls and customer emails
Serving take away hot drinks from our coffee counter (training provided)
Providing exceptional customer service

Experience:
1 year retail experience preferred though not essential
Essential Attributes:
Reliable and able to work well in a busy environment
Pro-active and able to use own initiative
Good team player and communicator
Keen attention to detail
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Due to our location a full UK driver's license is required
£12.21 (£NLW)
