Job Overview

The Consumer Lending Manager plays a critical role in Field & Main Bank's lending operations, responsible for soliciting consumer and mortgage loans, informing prospective loan clients of the bank's underwriting guidelines and applicable government regulations, and interviewing consumer and mortgage loan applicants.

Responsibilities:

• Complete each loan application and all pre-processing functions in a timely manner to permit the good faith estimate/adverse action to be mailed within the requested period.

• Communicate approvals or denials to the borrower.

• Produce and grow a consumer and mortgage lending portfolio.

• Maintain knowledge of various federal regulations including Bank Secrecy Act, Community Reinvestment Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Right to Financial Privacy Act, Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, Regulation E.

Requirements:

• High School Graduate or the equivalent with post-secondary education (i.e. college courses or business school courses, AIB courses) or demonstrated equivalent in work experience.

• Minimum of five (5) years supervisory experience in lending operations.

• Demonstrates ability to lead a team and make on-the-spot decisions regarding customer transactions, weighing customer satisfaction issues with bank exposure to loss or fraud.
