Join Toon Goons Art – Vancouver Caricature Artists Wanted!
Toon Goons Art is expanding our caricature artist team in Vancouver and is seeking talented artists for full-time work at the Pacific National Exhibition (PNE) 2026, running August 22 – September 7. In addition to the PNE, artists may also have opportunities for private event work in the Vancouver area.
Position Overview:
As a caricature artist with Toon Goons Art, your role will include:
PNE & Retail Opportunities: Create personalized caricatures at the Pacific National Exhibition (PNE) 2026. This will be your primary, full-time work if hired, engaging with guests and providing a fun, high-quality caricature experience.
Optional Private Event Opportunities: Draw caricatures at private events, including weddings, corporate gatherings and birthday parties. These events are always optional for employees and scheduled throughout the year, often on evenings or weekends.
Compensation:
PNE & Retail Work: $17.85 CAD per hour, plus 15% commission on all sales, plus tips.
Optional Ongoing Event Work: $50 CAD per hour, plus tips. Additional pay may be available for travel, overtime, and special requests.
Who We’re Looking For:
Soft Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, attention to detail, and a team-oriented mindset.
Artistic Skills: Drawing proficiency is required. Experience with caricatures is valued but not mandatory.
General Requirements: Applicants must be at least 16 years old, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and be able to stand for extended periods.
Location: Position is based in Vancouver with full-time work at the PNE (2901 E Hastings St, Vancouver, BC V5K 5J1) during the fair dates in August.
