The Retail Shift Lead manages sales floor operations, ensuring exceptional customer service by actively engaging and assisting customers to understand their preferences and product needs. They provide guidance on ******** products, including characteristics, specials, and pricing, acting as an ambassador for the Ponderosa brand to excite, promote, and educate customers. Additionally, the Retail Shift Lead supports budtenders in customer consultations and discounts, while independently managing their register. They also play a crucial role in maintaining a pristine and professional environment that upholds top-tier standards.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Ensure that staff is delivering the highest level of customer service and professionalism.
Ensure the Dispensary Sales Floor is running at a productive pace by maintaining efficient, but respectable customer turnover and holding budtenders accountable for quality downtime activity.
Implement breaks at strategic times.
Have a deep understanding of our Dutchie POS system and have the ability to troubleshoot any issues.
Intake third-party finished products in adherence to state-compliant guidelines.
Support inventory management in the retail department to ensure smooth daily operations.
Oversee the transaction process by assisting budtenders with any customer service-related disruptions.
Maintain floor professionalism, which includes the aesthetics of the store, such as cleanliness and stock par of all products.
Ensure all displays and fridges are organized with product faces correctly.
Be able to properly diffuse customer and employee escalations while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere on the Retail Sales Floor.
Understand the company’s discount policy and execute when appropriate.
Operate a cash register.
Itemize and total purchases by recording prices, departments, discounts/specials, and regulation limits.
Provide customers ******** information and educational resources regarding strains, methods of administration, effects, and precautions related to their consumption of ********* products.
Review in store / online menus and deals, report any discrepancies to Management.
Work together with Management to ensure the sales floor is operating at its maximum potential.
Have knowledge of and uphold AZDHS policies to operate compliantly.
Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Required Skills & Abilities:
Extensive knowledge of ******** products, strains, consumption methods, and industry regulations.
Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work in a fast=paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.
Proficient in cash handling procedures and point-of-sales (POS) systems.
Preferred Education & Experience:
2+ years of retail experience, preferably in a ******** dispensary or related industry.
1+ years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
Must be 21 years of age or older and be able to obtain a Facility Agent (FA) badge.
Must be able to pass a background check.
Physical Requirements:
Continuous movement during shifts, including bending, stooping, and adept communication with customers, handling high sales volume, and lifting up to 50 pounds are essential physical requirements for this role.
